A wetroom is a smart way to make the most of your space while giving your bathroom a sleek, contemporary feel.
With its open, seamless design, a wetroom offers a luxurious, walk-in shower experience that’s as practical as it is stylish. Whether you’re working with a compact space or a spacious layout, wetrooms suit bathrooms of all sizes.
The tray-free design improves accessibility and makes cleaning simple—ideal for busy households or those planning for the long term.
Looking for a modern, low-maintenance upgrade? A bespoke wetroom could be the perfect fit. If you’re unsure whether a wetroom is right for you, have a look at our past projects or ideas pages for inspiration. You can check our quote & work process page for more details on how we do things.
How much is a wetroom?
Prices start from around £9 000 (including VAT) for a straightforward refurbishment, with panels throughout and a similar layout.
Do I need a tray for a wetroom?
A wetroom usually means no tray, but we had cases in the past where we fitted a tray at floor level, since customer preffered it this way.
Can a wetroom always be installed in a bathroom?
In some cases, a true wetroom setup isn’t feasible due to drainage constraints — we need to ensure there’s enough fall in the pipework for proper water flow. Additionally, we generally don’t recommend wetrooms in flats, as access to drainage for future maintenance often involves going through the ceiling below. Understandably, this may not go down well with your downstairs neighbour.
Do I need a glass screen?
While a wetroom doesn’t require a full enclosure, it’s usually sensible to fit a small glass screen to protect certain features – such as an LED mirror – from splashes.
What kind of flooring can I have with a wetroom?
Wetrooms are typically tiled throughout, as this offers both durability and a high-end finish. While specialist vinyl flooring is available, it’s generally suited to accessible bathrooms rather than luxury designs.
Do I need antislip tiles?
It depends on how you use your bathroom. If you’re opting for a wetroom due to mobility concerns, we recommend choosing our non-slip tiles for added safety and peace of mind.
Why are wetrooms so expensive?
With a wetroom, there’s no margin for error – the entire area must be properly tanked to ensure no water leaks through to the floor below. Only a select number of companies take on this type of work, as it requires highly skilled fitters and meticulous attention to detail. It’s not a budget option, but it’s a lasting investment when done properly.

Two walls different color
In this compact wetroom, we used small green tiles on two walls, while the floor and the remaining two walls were finished with 600×600 tiles for a balanced and cohesive look. You can find the whole project here.

Wetroom near the toilet
In this Westhill example, the toilet has been positioned adjacent to the wetroom area – a clever use of space. As the toilet is fully waterproof, it’s unaffected by splashes from the shower. You can find the whole project here.

Larger Floor Tiles
In this example, we used 600×600 tiles on the floor to match the wall tiles. This is especially beneficial for wetrooms, as it minimises cuts and creates a cleaner, more seamless look. You can find the whole project here.

Make Use of Room Shape
This ensuite had an unusual layout, so we made the most of the space by creating a wetroom. This not only maximised functionality but also delivered a sleek, modern finish. You can find the whole project here.

Wetroom Area
This room features a wetroom area at the entrance, separated from the storage units by a fixed glass panel with a flipper panel for added functionality. You can find the whole project here.

Shower seat
In this wetroom, we constructed a built-in shower seat using tiles for a seamless and stylish finish. You can find the whole project here.

No Screen Wetroom
This compact wetroom in Ellon features an open design without a full shower screen. Instead, a discreet 300mm glass panel shields the vanity unit from direct water spray, maintaining a seamless and spacious feel. You can find the whole project here.

Mosaic Tiles on a floor
In this Ferryhill project, the customer opted for mosaic floor tiles with epoxy grout. This combination not only offers a degree of slip resistance, but also makes the floor easy to maintain thanks to the durable, low-maintenance properties of epoxy grout.
Mosaic tiles are particularly well-suited for wetroom areas, as their small size allows us to create a subtle slope towards the drain without the need for awkward cuts. The result is a clean, seamless finish that’s both practical and visually appealing. You can find the whole project here.

Wetroom underneath sloped wall
This bathroom had an angled roof, meaning even a small shower tray would have made showering difficult for our tall customer. Instead, we created a wetroom, maximising space and ensuring a more comfortable experience. You can find the whole project here.

Freestanding Bathtub Fitted at Angle
Freestanding bathtubs offer the flexibility to be positioned as needed. In this case, combining a wetroom with a compact freestanding bathtub allowed the customer to enjoy both a shower and a bath, maximising functionality without compromising space. You can find the whole project here.

Wetroom with Barrier
In this project, we constructed a water barrier to help manage drainage. As this was a rural property, there was always a risk of the septic tank filling up and overflowing, making this an important preventative measure. You can find the whole project here.

Separate wall for wetroom area
For this Inverurie project, we built a partition wall to separate the wetroom area from the toilet, preventing it from being directly exposed to water. You can find the whole project here.

Replace a tray with a wetroom floor
You can still have an enclosure, but instead of a tray, opt for a wetroom area. This creates a more open and continuous design. We did this for this property in Inverurie. You can find the whole project here.

Recesses Toilet Box
In this wetroom, the boxed-in toilet area includes side recesses, providing handy storage space for shower toiletries. You can find the whole project here.

Wall hung toilet and vanity unit
In this compact wetroom in the West End, we installed a concealed cistern within the wall and fitted both the toilet and vanity unit as floating fixtures. This not only enhances the sense of space but also makes cleaning much easier. You can find the whole project here.

Narrow box for back to wall toilet
This wetroom in Ellon featured non-standard walls, making a standard cistern unsuitable. To solve this, we built a slim custom enclosure, providing just enough space to accommodate the cistern without compromising the room’s layout. You can find the whole project here.

Wetroom with custom built units
In this bathroom, we created a wetroom by repositioning all fixtures along the side wall, leaving the opposite area open for the wetroom space. You can find the whole project here.

Large Tiles
This wetroom featured oversized 1000×500 tiles in two complementary shades, creating a sleek and modern look. You can find the whole project here.
