Finding space for both a washing machine and dryer can mean giving up useful room elsewhere in the home. Here, we replanned the bathroom around a dedicated laundry alcove, with one appliance above the other. Stacking them uses one floor footprint rather than two, while the layout still accommodates a generous shower. The important decision is to plan the appliances and bathroom together, rather than trying to squeeze the laundry in afterwards.
