This was a full refurbishment in Aberdeen where we replaced the bath with a walk-in shower and upgraded the units to improve storage and make the bathroom more practical for everyday use.
One of the main issues with this bathroom was the lack of useful storage, so the new layout was designed to make better use of the available space while creating a cleaner, more modern finish.
The walk-in shower makes the room feel more open and accessible, while the fitted units provide a much neater solution for toiletries, cleaning products, and everyday bathroom essentials. The result is a brighter, more comfortable bathroom that is easier to use, easier to clean, and far better suited to the customer’s needs.window, and the extractor fan was quite inefficent, fitted at the side of the walk in shower. When we removed the old bathroom, the plasterboard was completely soaked in moisture. Since this was a flat, we couldn’t fit an inline extractor fan above (this is usually the ideal scenario), so the solution was a waterproof extractor fan (150mm) fitted directly in the shower. A 150mm extractor fan has three times the volume of a 100mm extractor fan, and being directly in the shower, the ventilation is significantly improved.
For the walls, we used paint all around except for the shower area and above the unit, where we used wood effect tiles. On the floor, we used easy to maintain vinyl click flooring, and the little skiring board we used is UPVC (meaning it’s completely waterproof).
The walk in shower is large and modern, with a single large piece of glass only. The thermostatic shower has two deep recesses on the side.
On the sink side, we used custom units with two units above the toilet. We also fitted a bidet thermostatic douche.
A bathroom that got more modern and easier to maintain.
