Storage and Shower Space in Stonehaven

Shower Room Extended, Stonehaven

Extending this Stonehaven shower room into an adjoining cupboard and part of the hallway created space for a larger shower and a more useful storage arrangement.

L-shaped furniture, a black countertop basin and coordinated black fittings make the expanded room practical while giving it a clear visual identity. Pale walls balance the darker details.

Storage that follows the room

The L-shaped fitted units provide enclosed space around the basin and toilet, while a tall unit adds storage at the end. Daily products and spare supplies can be kept behind doors rather than arranged on the counter.

Open corner shelves provide a separate place for smaller items that are useful to keep visible. They use the corner beside the mirror without requiring another freestanding cabinet on the floor.

A place to get ready

The black countertop basin sits on a broad work surface with a wall-mounted filler above. This leaves the tap off the counter and creates a simple outline around the basin. The illuminated mirror includes a magnifying section for close-up tasks.

The matching black toilet and fittings form a consistent set of details against the pale furniture. Keeping that palette repeated gives the room character without adding several competing finishes.

A shower with somewhere for bottles

The larger shower includes recessed storage in its wall. Products can be kept within reach without a basket taking up space inside the enclosure. The overhead outlet and handset offer a choice of water direction.

Pale patterned wall surfaces connect the shower to the rest of the room. The black shower frame repeats the basin and radiator finish, so the enclosure remains part of the same design.

Comfort at the floor and towel rail

Underfloor heating adds warmth beneath the tiled floor. The large towel radiator provides hanging space beside the washing area, and its pipes come through the wall rather than rising from the floor.

That detail leaves fewer obstacles below the radiator during cleaning. It is one example of how the extra room was used for practical daily details as well as a larger shower.
