Traditional Details and Deep Storage in Newmachar

A deep custom vanity and traditional fittings give this Newmachar ensuite useful storage alongside a separate shower and warm wood-effect floor.

A dedicated place to shower

The shower walls use pale marble-effect panels. A glass screen keeps the view towards the traditional-style toilet and towel radiator open.

A defined showering area keeps the washing routine focused in one part of the room. Clear glass preserves a view through to the surrounding finishes while marking the shower boundary. The arrangement makes the relationship between the shower and nearby fittings easy to understand when entering the room.

Essentials put away near the basin

The bespoke vanity is 600 mm deep and includes four drawers. Its blue fronts contrast with white metro tiles, giving supplies enclosed storage beneath the basin.

Enclosed storage gives daily toiletries and spare supplies a place behind doors. Products can be returned after use rather than gathering around the tap or across the worktop. Keeping storage close to the washing area also reduces the need for an extra freestanding cabinet in the room.

A finish that brings the room together

Metro tiles above the vanity and behind the toilet include a border. Egyptian Cotton paint supplies a soft upper backdrop that works with the traditional toilet and radiator.

Repeating the tile finish across neighbouring areas links the fittings visually. Pale bathroom furniture and the selected metal details stand out against that backdrop without needing several different decorative surfaces. Tiles, their joints and the fittings all remain part of regular cleaning, with the pattern supplying much of the room’s character.

A practical finish underfoot

Vinyl click flooring supplies a warm wood-effect appearance. A toothbrush charger adds a dedicated provision at the washing area without another loose charging base on the counter.

Vinyl click flooring gives a warmer feel under bare feet than ceramic tile and avoids floor grout joints. Its appearance connects the fittings without another change of material between areas. The floor remains part of the ordinary cleaning routine, with furniture and fittings defining the space around it.
