We transformed this bathroom into a warmer, more comfortable and much easier-to-use space by replacing the old bathtub with a spacious walk-in shower. This made everyday showering simpler, safer and more convenient, while also giving the room a more open feel.
To improve comfort, we fitted a thermostatic dual-head shower together with a pump for stronger water pressure, creating a much better showering experience day to day. The layout was also improved by swapping the positions of the radiator and vanity unit, helping the room work better and feel more practical.
Because this was a granite house with very little insulation, we installed a large 1800×600 towel radiator to make the room feel warmer and more comfortable, especially during colder months. Tiles were fitted in the shower area and half-height around the rest of the room, giving a clean, smart finish that is also easier to maintain. Vinyl click flooring was fitted for a warmer feel underfoot and a practical surface that works well in bathrooms.
To make the room feel brighter and more enjoyable to use, we added an LED mirror, a new light fitting and recessed storage in the shower area, helping keep everything neat, tidy and within easy reach. The remaining walls were painted to complete the refurbishment and give the whole room a fresh, finished look.
