Choose a bath or a shower

The freestanding bath gives bathing its own place, while the separate enclosure serves everyday showering. The bath filler is positioned beside the tub, and the shower has a black frame with an anthracite tray. Keeping the two functions separate offers a choice of routine without having to shower over the bath.

The revised layout places the shower where the former toilet stood and the freestanding bath in the former bath area. A tiled unit now conceals the toilet cistern between the washing areas. Each fitting has a defined position, so the finished room can retain both bathing choices.

A better-defined basin position

A small extension into a neighbouring cupboard allowed the basin to move onto the door wall. That provided a position for a mirror above it, which the original arrangement lacked. The drawer unit puts toiletries beneath the washing area and keeps spare items off the basin, bringing the storage and reflection into a useful single position.

Bottles stored within the shower wall

The tiled toilet unit and adjoining wall incorporate recessed shower shelves. Shampoo and shower gel have a place inside the wall rather than on the tray. The enclosure keeps the washing area defined, and clear glass preserves the view of the broad tile surfaces. The shelves are a practical detail that also carries the room’s finish through the corner.

A consistent finish from wall to floor

Matching tiles run from floor to ceiling, giving the bath, toilet and basin areas a joined-up appearance. A black towel radiator echoes the shower frame and provides several hanging levels. The illuminated mirror adds a bright outline at the basin, with ceiling downlights providing general light. These touches support everyday use alongside the room’s coordinated look.
