Shower Room With Washing Machine/Dryer Stacked, Aberdeen

This full bathroom transformation replaced the old bathtub with a modern shower room designed to make everyday life easier, more comfortable, and more organised. A key goal for the customer was to bring the washing machine and dryer into the bathroom, so we completely reworked the layout to make that possible without making the room feel cramped. By stacking the appliances behind a purpose-built wall, we freed up enough space for a large 1300mm shower enclosure at the end of the room, creating a layout that feels far more practical and streamlined.

The biggest improvement is how much better the room now works day to day. Instead of having laundry in a separate area, washing and drying can now be done in the bathroom, where it often makes the most sense. Towels, clothing and laundry are all handled in one place, making everyday routines simpler and helping the rest of the home stay tidier. Replacing the bath with a spacious shower also makes the room quicker and easier to use, while giving the customer a more open and comfortable space.

Inside the shower, the illuminated recesses make a real difference in daily use. They keep shampoos, shower gels and other toiletries neatly stored within easy reach, so there is no need for baskets, caddies or bottles sitting on the floor or tray. The built-in lighting also helps when the room is steamy, making labels easier to read while adding a more striking finish that gives the whole shower area a premium look guests will notice straight away. The thermostatic shower improves comfort and safety by keeping the temperature more consistent, while the tiled walls with epoxy grout provide a durable, smart finish that is easier to keep looking fresh over time.

Elsewhere, the LED mirror and downlights make the room feel brighter and more welcoming, which is especially useful for shaving, skincare, makeup or getting ready early in the morning. The inline extractor fan helps clear moisture more effectively, reducing condensation and helping the room stay fresher. Vinyl click flooring offers a practical surface that feels warmer underfoot than tile, while still being well suited to a bathroom environment. The towel radiator adds another everyday comfort, giving the customer warm towels close at hand and helping the room feel more comfortable overall, while the pipework coming from the wall keeps the finish cleaner and less cluttered.

The end result is not just a more modern bathroom, but a room that genuinely improves daily life — easier to use, easier to keep tidy, more comfortable to spend time in, and better suited to both practical routines and a more polished, impressive finish.
