This was a full walk-in shower refurbishment where the customer wanted to move away from a bathtub, very little storage and a bathroom that was hard to maintain. The goal was to create a modern, comfortable space that’s easy to keep clean and designed to last.
We used large 1200 × 600 tiles all around the room, finished with epoxy grout, which offers the best reliability and longevity. A 1600 × 900 walk-in shower was installed, with a slightly smaller glass panel at the end to allow more space for the vanity unit. Instead of making the shower longer, we chose a wider layout, which works much better in this room and makes the shower feel more open and comfortable to use.
The concealed shower controls are positioned outside the spray area, so you can turn the shower on without getting cold water on you when stepping in. One of the standout features in this bathroom is the ceiling-mounted rain shower. It’s a more premium option and less common due to cost, but it adds a real sense of comfort and turns everyday showers into a much more relaxing experience.
Storage was a key improvement in this bathroom. We fitted an 800 mm vanity unit with two large drawers, offering plenty of practical storage, paired with an LED mirror from our premium range. Alongside illumination and a demister pad, the mirror also includes a small shelf with a built-in wireless phone charger — ideal for listening to music while your phone charges during a shower. There’s also an additional illuminated cabinet above the toilet, adding even more storage without taking up extra space.
The walk-in shower is finished with smoked glass for a softer, more modern look. To keep maintenance to a minimum, we fitted a UPVC ceiling with LED downlights, removing the need for future painting and reducing the risk of mould.
The end result is a modern, comfortable bathroom that’s practical for everyday use, easy to maintain and designed around how the space is actually used.
