Full shower refurbishment where we didn’t alter the design too much, but made a few adjustments to make the bathroom easier to clean, improve storage, and give it a more modern look.
The most important layout change was building a false wall at the end of the room. There was soil pipe ventilation in the corner, so we built the wall to hide it. Inside the false wall, we fitted the cistern for the back-to-wall toilet, created a small shelf above the toilet, and added a cupboard for extra storage. Inside the shower area, we used the same space to create two deep recesses for shampoo and other toiletries.
We fitted a black frameless shower enclosure, slightly larger than the old one, along with a Mira Airboost shower, which creates the feeling of more power by adding air bubbles to the water flow.
We also built a small unit with a countertop basin, fitted an LED mirror, installed vinyl click flooring, added panels around the room, fitted a UPVC ceiling with downlights, and installed a towel radiator with the pipes coming neatly from the wall.
The back-to-wall toilet is comfort height, which makes it easier to sit down and get back up.
