The old bath in this bathroom stood on a raised platform, making it a substantial presence in the room. We removed it and created a walk-in shower in front of the window instead. The new arrangement suits a household wanting a more practical daily showering space. A refurbishment is a useful opportunity to reconsider built-up bathing areas, rather than automatically repeating the same raised arrangement with new tiles and fittings.
