With a ceiling just over 1.8 metres high, this bathroom had very little height to spare and insufficient ceiling space for recessed lights. We used wall lights instead, positioned beside the feature tiles. This provides useful illumination without requiring space above the ceiling. In an older property, working with the room’s restrictions can produce a more comfortable result than forcing in the usual fittings.
