This project was a full bathroom refurbishment designed to make the room feel larger, brighter and far more practical for everyday life.
By rethinking the layout, we were able to unlock space that previously wasn’t being used properly. An old cupboard was removed and partly incorporated into the new 1200 × 800 recessed shower, creating a much more spacious showering area while still keeping the room well balanced. The remaining space beside the shower was used for floor-to-ceiling storage units, giving the customer plenty of practical storage while keeping the room tidy and uncluttered.
To improve the overall proportions of the room, the ceiling was lowered to 2400 mm. This small design change makes the space feel more balanced while also allowing us to install a powerful inline extractor fan. As this bathroom doesn’t have a window, good ventilation is essential, helping prevent condensation, mould and damp over time.
Comfort was also a priority. A 1600 × 600 dual-fuel towel radiator means warm, dry towels all year round. Even during summer, when the central heating is off, the radiator can still run independently, making everyday routines that little bit more comfortable.
The vanity area was designed to maximise usable space with custom-built units and a large worktop, creating a practical area for daily use. Above it, we installed a large custom mirror with a 1000 × 800 demister pad, so the mirror stays clear even after a hot shower.
The room was finished with vinyl click flooring in a herringbone pattern, which is both durable and easy to maintain, while adding a bit of character to the space. The concealed shower with controls positioned outside the spray area makes the shower easier to use without getting wet while adjusting the temperature.
Two illuminated recesses inside the shower add convenient storage for toiletries, while downlights and a UPVC ceiling help make the room feel brighter and easier to maintain.
To complete the space, we added small details that make daily life easier, such as a built-in toothbrush charger, keeping worktops free from cables and clutter.
The result is a bathroom that feels more spacious, better organised, easier to maintain, and far more comfortable to use every day.
