A shower that fits the room

The former bath has made way for a shower enclosure with a frameless screen and anthracite tray. A 700 mm enclosure makes use of the space available beside the doorway. Clear glass keeps the view through the room open, while the tray defines the wet area.

Storage around the corner

Moving the toilet onto the shower wall allowed L-shaped fitted units to use the corner. Toiletries and spare supplies can be put behind cupboard doors rather than left around the basin. The continuous worktop connects the furniture and provides a useful surface beside the basin, with the storage fitted to the room rather than relying on another freestanding cabinet.

The corner run also joins the toilet and basin visually. Fitting the storage around the room’s boundaries leaves its central floor area available for moving between the doorway, basin and shower. The worktop and closed white fronts provide a clear contrast to the darker wall panels.

Surfaces for everyday upkeep

Wall panels continue around the room, giving broad surfaces to wipe and reducing conventional grout joints. Vinyl click flooring carries a coordinated stone-like appearance beneath the fittings. These finishes still need routine care, but the practical advantage is specific: fewer tiled joints around the washing areas and a floor finish that can be cleaned as part of the usual routine.

Towels and light close by

The tall towel radiator gives towels several hanging levels without using another piece of floor furniture. Its pipework comes through the wall, keeping the floor below less obstructed. At the basin, the small illuminated mirror adds a layer of light alongside daylight from the window, completing a useful place for handwashing and getting ready.
