This customer had previously trusted us with their ensuite and main bathroom, and invited us back to quote for their cloakroom. With a large family, they wanted as many showers as possible, so we proposed a design that was easy to maintain while still incorporating a generous shower. As the cloakroom would also serve as the main bathroom for guests, it was important to get everything right.
We fitted a 1000 x 800 offset quadrant enclosure and used epoxy grout to make cleaning easier. We also replaced the extractor fan with an inline extractor fan, as there was a cupboard on the other side which allowed us to use this option. To improve cleaning and give the room a neater finish, we built a boxed-in section for the cistern and installed a smart toilet seat with washing, drying and deodorising functions.
We fitted a towel radiator with pipework coming from the wall, a tiled floor, a UPVC ceiling with downlights, and an LED mirror. In the photos the mirror appears blue, but it can be used in both blue and white. We also installed a concealed shower and an anthracite tray to better match the floor.
All in all, this relatively small cloakroom was transformed into a proper modern shower room.
