Look at the drainage before accepting an extra step

An unexpected drainage level can affect the height of a new shower. In this project, the existing arrangement would have created a step, so we altered the drainage outside and formed a new waste route through the exterior. It shows why a comfortable layout depends on what happens beneath and beyond the visible fittings. Examining the drainage options early can reveal whether an awkward level change can be avoided in the finished room.
