Two wall panels can look similar while having very different construction. This project began with older plywood-backed panels that had deteriorated at the bottom. We replaced them with UPVC panels as part of the new shower room, choosing the material for the bathroom environment as well as its appearance. Looking at the panel’s core helps make the finish a practical decision, rather than choosing only from the colour and pattern on display.
