The customer wanted to enhance the layout of their bathroom, and we achieved this through thoughtful design adjustments. To maximise the use of space, we built a small false wall at the end of the shower area, allowing us to fit a standard-sized shower enclosure. By installing a slim shower tray and repositioning the shower mixer along the longer side of the room, we significantly improved the showering experience, providing the customer with a more spacious and comfortable area. The longer enclosure adds to the luxurious feel, giving more room to move about. Additionally, we created an illuminated shower recess within the new wall, offering practical storage for shampoos and conditioners, ensuring everything is easily accessible and neatly stored.
The dual thermostatic shower allows for precise temperature control, delivering a consistently comfortable and enjoyable shower every time, offering both practicality and luxury.
The sink was relocated to the opposite wall, which allowed us to place a mirror directly above the vanity unit. We installed an LED cabinet, which not only provides extra storage for bathroom essentials but also features a demister function, ensuring a clear reflection even in steamy conditions. The vanity unit includes two large soft-close drawers, making it easy to keep things organised while adding a touch of elegance. The built-in shaver socket is a convenient addition, perfect for charging items like electric toothbrushes, making daily routines simpler and more efficient.
To further improve the floorplan, we shifted the toilet slightly to the right. This change allowed for better use of the vanity unit and improved the overall flow of the room. We installed a back-to-wall toilet within a custom-built unit, which significantly increases storage by adding a cupboard and creating additional worktop space above. This not only provides more storage but also contributes to a streamlined and tidy appearance.
Previously, the corner bathtub was cumbersome and difficult to maintain, as it wasted space and created awkward gaps that were hard to clean. We replaced it with a standard bathtub placed beneath the sloped ceiling, creating a more seamless and stylish look. The new design makes cleaning much easier, with no hard-to-reach areas, and offers a much more practical bathing solution.
We used wall panels for the bath and shower areas, providing a waterproof and easy-to-clean surface. The rest of the walls were painted, adding to the overall simplicity and elegance of the design. For the ceiling, we installed modern downlights and a new inline extractor fan, which helps to maintain a fresh atmosphere by efficiently removing moisture, all while contributing to the bathroom‘s sleek and contemporary style. The combination of these features ensures a more comfortable and functional space for the customer, reducing maintenance efforts while enhancing the bathroom’s aesthetic appeal.
To further elevate the overall experience, we upgraded the flooring to durable and easy-to-clean vinyl click flooring. This option is not only resilient but also adds warmth and comfort underfoot, ideal for daily use. The flooring is designed to withstand high moisture levels, ensuring long-term durability while maintaining a fresh look.
We also installed a towel radiator, cleverly positioned with pipes concealed within the walls, which contributes to the clean, streamlined appearance of the bathroom. This design detail makes it easier to keep the space tidy and improves accessibility for cleaning beneath the radiator. The warm towels it provides offer a touch of luxury that enhances the everyday experience for the customer.
In summary, this bathroom refurbishment delivered a significant improvement in layout, functionality, and style. The thoughtful redesign maximised space and practicality, providing the customer with a modern, low-maintenance bathroom that is both beautiful and easy to use. Every element of the design was carefully considered to enhance comfort, efficiency, and enjoyment, ensuring long-term satisfaction with the result.
