We recently completed a full bathroom refurbishment, keeping the layout similar but giving the space a complete modern refresh with thoughtful upgrades.
The room is now fully clad with waterproof UPVC panels, providing a sleek, low-maintenance solution. These panels make cleaning effortless, as a simple wipe-down keeps the walls looking fresh and spotless. The outdated Lino flooring has been replaced with durable vinyl click flooring, which not only feels warmer and softer underfoot but is also easy to clean and highly resistant to wear.
The ceiling has been re-plastered and painted, with new downlights installed to give the room a brighter, more contemporary feel. A larger radiator was fitted to ensure the bathroom stays cosy during colder months, heating the space quickly and efficiently. We also upgraded the extractor fan to a slimline, quieter model, which improves air circulation, reduces humidity, and helps extend the life of the bathroom by preventing moisture build-up.
For a stylish, contemporary finish, we’ve replaced the old ceramic sink with a vanity unit featuring soft-close drawers. This upgrade not only enhances the look of the bathroom but also provides practical storage, keeping all toiletries neatly tucked away and out of sight. The sleek black taps, matching accessories, and mirror add to the modern aesthetic while also offering the practical benefit of easy maintenance. We used a dual thermostatic shower, which offers an easy way to set the water temperature.
Additionally, we incorporated a recessed shower shelf for convenience, providing a tidy space for toiletries. As it’s made from the same easy-clean panels, it remains hassle-free to maintain.
