This full refurbishment involved a complete redesign of the main bathroom, tailored to meet the needs of everyone in the household. The standard bathtub was replaced with a sleek, freestanding model positioned in front of the window, complemented by a floor-mounted bath filler with a handheld shower attachment. The area where the soil pipe was located has been extended to create additional space at the end of the bathtub, featuring two recessed shelves for convenient storage of towels or toiletries.
We installed a large vanity unit from our standard range (1200mm), offering ample storage with its three doors and three drawers – perfect for accommodating the needs of a family. A generously sized mirror, equipped with LED lighting and a demister pad, was chosen, featuring a magnified circular section for added functionality. A dual toothbrush charger was also installed, keeping the space free from unsightly wires.
The toilet is a close-coupled model, designed for easy cleaning and complete waterproofing. Large-format tiles (600x300mm) were used throughout the room, not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for ease of cleaning. Underfloor heating beneath the tiles creates a cosy, welcoming warmth – a feature that truly enhances the bathroom experience.
A spacious, frameless shower enclosure (1000x800mm) was installed, offering both a modern, minimalist look and easier maintenance. A traditional-style towel radiator adds a touch of classic design, while also providing a practical solution for drying towels.
For a clean and maintenance-free finish, we removed the window surround and door architrave, eliminating the need for future repainting. The ceiling was fitted with UPVC gloss white cladding, which, combined with downlights, ensures even illumination across the room. This low-maintenance, fully waterproof ceiling also requires no repainting. To further enhance ventilation, the extractor fan was relocated above the shower, reducing condensation and improving airflow after use.
The result is a stylish, functional, and family-friendly bathroom that will remain low-maintenance for years to come.

To make the bathroom more child-friendly, we built a custom tile surround around the bathtub, perfect for storing toys.
