If you’ve got a quote from us, you’ll notice that it’s a little bit different to your typical quote. This has the purpose of saving time on both sides and allow you to customise it to a large extent.
The quote will have four main components:
- Labour charge. This is the most important part since you can choose only this and supply everything else yourself.
- Waste disposal
- Additional materials
- Main bathroom products
Most customers choose for us to supply everything, while some of them supply some stuff themselves for the main bathroom products. For example, you see a mirror that you like in a local store, we’re more than happy to remove that from our quote and fit what you supplied.
How can I choose the main bathroom products
In the offer you got, there are links in the breakdown we offered. It’s best if you can open the quote on a computer, so everything works properly.
If you click on the blue links for each category, it will open the category to select products from. For example if you press on the ‘click here’ with the walk in showers, it will open the walk in shower/shower enclosure products page.
It will be something like this:
All you have to do is to make a note on what product you’d like. Don’t worry too much about sizes, the above usually come in different sizes, so we’ll let you know if something doesn’t fit.
The best part about this approach is that you can customise the quote to a large extent, while keeping the price the same. In those links, anything you choose keeps the price the same. So you might choose SE13 which is a fixed walk in shower, or you could choose SE2 which is a full enclosure and the total price for you would be the same.
Can I arrange another visit to discuss the options?
Yes, just let us know and we can go trough the options together. We can show you the options on a tablet and we can make a note of what you’d like.
Can I choose more expensive/cheaper products?
Each link you have in the quote has a certain price, so anything you choose from that link will keep the overall price the same.
If you have a different budget for the bathroom, let us know and we can change the quote with different products to choose from to tailor a different budget. You’ll get a new quote with new links to choose from. For example let’s say you want to allocate a higher budget for the bathroom work. In this situation, we’ll propose a new design/solution there where we are able to use different products. In this situation you’ll get links to choose products from:
The above are from the premium enclosures catalogue. In this category everything will be the same price again, so you’ll be able to chose anything while keeping the price the same.
Things might seem a little bit confusing, but if you choose only from the links in your quote breakdown, the total price stays the same for you.
How can I accept a quote?
Simply email us that you want to go ahead with the project. Please keep an eye to when the quote expires. If a quote expired, this doesn’t mean that we can’t keep the same price at a later date, but it gives us the option to refuse offering the same price if our costs increase in the meantime.
In the past few years there have been a lot of shocks to the market, meaning that prices could go 20-30% up with short notice. Our quotes used to have a 30 days validity, then 14 days, now it’s usually 7 days to protect us from these price fluctuations. If the quote expired and you still want to go ahead, please contact us and we’ll try to make our best to accommodate this, but only if our costs didn’t increase too much in the meantime.
When do I have to give you the product options?
You can accept a quote and give us the product options at a later date, but no more than 10 days before the project starts. The sooner you give us the product options, the sooner we can check everything and potentially do a 3D design with these.
All you have to do is to make a list with the product options and send us an email with these.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No, we don’t ask for deposits.
Can I cancel the project?
Yes, if you give us 28 days working notice before the project starts, then we can cancel the project for you.
Is the price fixed?
Yes, no matter what we find once we open the walls/floor, the price stays the same. There is always something unexpected, which will can increase the labour time + additional materials. If you choose our quote, you can rest assured that the price quoted is the price you’ll pay at the end of the project.
This is extremely important, so please keep this in mind if you want to compare our quote with others. Most other contractors will give you a price and then add extras during the course of the project.
For example we quote £7000 and the someone else quotes £5000. If we find unexpected items, you’ll still pay £7000 at the end of the project. If you were quoted by someone else £5000 and the price was not fixed, at the end of the project you might pay £9000-£10 000 with all the extras included. A fixed and higher price it’s usually cheaper than a low price that is not fixed.
