Our labor charge is essentially what keeps this business running and paying for all our wages. You have the flexibility to select the labor component from our quotation and supply the remaining materials independently. The labor cost in our proposal encompasses all necessary elements to execute the refurbishment comprehensively, though not itemized in detail.
For a standard bathroom installation, our service includes:
- Safeguarding the surrounding area
- Dismantling the existing bathroom
- Installing new plasterboard, plywood, or cement boards
- Adjusting plumbing for the new suite
- Conducting any required electrical work
- Plastering and painting
- Custom joinery work, including units and panels
- Installing the bathroom suite and flooring
- Application of silicones
- Thorough cleaning post-installation
Regarding your involvement, if you prefer to contribute personally, painting is a feasible task without prior experience, accounting for approximately 5-7% of the total labor cost. We fully support your decision to undertake this part of the project.
Additionally, you may opt to remove the existing bathroom fixtures yourself. However, please be aware of potential hazards like live electrical connections or the risk of flooding due to accidental pipe damage. Undertaking this task can save about 3-4% of the total labor cost.
